Giants unveil 'Golden Urinal' award for best hydrated player

If you're consistently quenching your thirst, the San Francisco Giants have an award for you.

For those who rank among the best hydrated players on the Giants, the club is awarding a trophy in the splendidly apt shape of a golden urinal this season:

Though nobody will likely brag about winning a miniature restroom ornament, the incentives behind the prize do make a little more sense. Before batting practices, each player will undergo hydration testing through a "urine gravity machine," according to Daniel Brown of the Mercury News, with the winner earning the novelty honor.

At this time, it's too early to tell if "urine gravity machines" are set to become the most requested item on wedding registries.
