Yankees' Aaron Judge: May begin season in minors

Manager Joe Girardi says Judge may still begin the season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

It would be a surprising move if the Yankees decide to make it. Judge has put together a solid performance this spring, slashing .327/.393/.564 over 22 games with three home runs and five RBI. Nonetheless, Girardi wants to make sure the young slugger is getting plenty of opportunities when the season begins. "[Judge] needs to play, that's the bottom line," he said. Aaron Hicks would be in line to play right field if Judge does indeed get sent down.
