Mets' Juan Lagares: Expects to be ready for Opening Day
Lagares (oblique) said Wednesday that he expects to be ready for Opening Day, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Lagares strained his oblique just four days ago, but evidently he's progressing quite well. The 28-year-old did some running Wednesday and plans to hit Thursday in preparation for the start of the season. He is expected to open the year as the Mets' fourth outfielder.
