Angels' Andrew Bailey: Still second in closer race
With a 5.40 ERA through seven spring games, Bailey remains the backup option in the race to begin the year as the Angels' closer.
Analysis:
With Huston Street (back) going down to injury early in March, Bailey was expected to compete with Cam Bedrosian for ninth-inning duties to begin the year. While the former has had experience closing out games in the past, the latter has a more dominant arsenal and has also outperformed the 32-year-old Bailey this spring. Barring any injuries or unforeseen shake-ups, the veteran is expected to begin the year as the team's primary setup man.
