Indians' Cody Anderson: Tommy John surgery on tap for Monday
Anderson (elbow) will have his Tommy John surgery conducted in Texas on Monday, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
Analysis:
Renowned surgeon Dr. Keith Meister will perform the procedure for Anderson, who was diagnosed with the UCL tear in his right elbow a little over two weeks ago. He'll miss the entire 2017 season while recovering from the procedure and may not be ready to go for the start of the 2018 campaign.
