Nationals' Brandon Snyder: Will be reassigned to minors

Snyder was spotted clearing out his locker Sunday and is expected to be reassigned to the Nationals' minor-league camp, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Snyder was competing for a bench role with the Nationals, but his standing as a non-40-man roster player never gave him much of a realistic chance at beating out Wilmer Difo or Michael Taylor for those duties. He's expected to spend another season at the Triple-A level, where he slashed .327/.358/.442 in 160 plate appearances with Gwinnett in the Braves organization in 2016.
