Mariners' Tony Zych: Set for Cactus League debut Sunday

Zych (biceps) is scheduled for an inning of relief in Sunday's game against the Reds, his first Cactus League action of the spring, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Zych is making his way back from biceps surgery and he'll work in a game with the big club a day earlier than previously expected. He is battling Edwin Diaz and Steve Cishek (hip) for a prominent role in the late innings for manager Scott Servais. Even if he isn't used for saves he could be valuable for holds and his high strikeout rate.
