Diamondbacks' A.J. Pollock: Expected to return Friday

Pollock (groin) is expected to return to the Diamondbacks' lineup Friday. "He was potentially available today, but because of the wet grounds, we decided to hold him back one more day," said manager Torey Lovullo on Thursday.

Analysis:

The star outfielder will be clearing a major hurdle Friday as it will be his first time back in a major league lineup since March 12. He has played in minor league games this week, however. Assuming that the field is in good condition Friday, Pollock should be ready to draw back into the lineup.
