In arguably the biggest start of his career, Marcus Stroman silenced the red-hot bats of Puerto Rico.
The United States right-hander held Puerto Rico hitless through the first six innings of the World Baseball Classic final before allowing a leadoff double to Angel Pagan in the seventh.
Stroman was removed to a loud ovation at Dodger Stadium, and several major leaguers shared their respect for his performance on Twitter.
