Nationals' Max Scherzer: Says finger issue is completely behind him
Scherzer, who threw 73 pitches over 4.2 innings in his Grapefruit League debut Wednesday, threw with his normal grip and says the finger issue is completely behind him, MLB.com's Jamal Collier reports.
Analysis:
He gave up one run on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts in the outing, and aims to log two more exhibition starts. This puts him on track to start the third game of the season on March 6 against the Marlins. Stephen Strasburg and Tanner Roark line up to start the first two games of the season.
