Blue Jays' Jose Bautista: Shines in WBC opener

Bautista went 3-for-4 with a walk, three-run homer and four RBI in Thursday's World Baseball Classic game against Team Canada.

Analysis:

Bautista's strong showing early in Grapefruit League action carried over into the Dominican Republic's first contest of the WBC tournament. After a year full of obstacles on and off the field, the slugger looks as good as ever so far in 2017. Any concerns about his age, health and motivation should be put to rest, and for his owners in keeper leagues that remain uncertain on where they stand with the outfielder, it may be wise to reevaluate Bautista before deciding to expose him to the draft pool.
