Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons officially named Marco Estrada the club's Opening Day starter April 3 in Baltimore.

J.A. Happ, Marcus Stroman, Francisco Liriano, and Aaron Sanchez will follow in that order.

Estrada has been one of the Blue Jays' most consistent starters in his two seasons with the club, going 22-17 with a 3.30 ERA and 1.08 WHIP.

It's the first time Estrada has earned Opening Day honors in 10 seasons in the majors. He becomes the 24th pitcher in Blue Jays history to start Opening Day and fourth different one in as many years.

Toronto opens its season with a two-game series against the Orioles before traveling to Tampa Bay for a four-game set.
