Giants' Jarrett Parker: Smacks first homer of spring Sunday

Parker went 2-for-2 with two walks, a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's spring training win over the Reds.

Analysis:

Parker definitely got his spring started off with a bang, reaching base in all four of his plate appearances and taking Nick Routt deep in the fourth. We can't get too excited about spring training stats, especially considering the pitcher he took deep won't be on an Opening Day roster. That being said, Parker is going to be locked in a battle with Mac Williamson throughout the Cactus League for the right to be the Giants' everyday left fielder, so any production will help his stock rise. This competition could come down to the wire, with the winner of the battle becoming a cheap source of power in fantasy.
