Cubs' Jemile Weeks: Exits Monday with injury
Weeks left Monday's game after he injured himself on a play at second base, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis:
Weeks leaped to catch a throw and make a tag on a steal attempt, then collided with the baserunner. He was able to walk off the field slowly, but the severity of the injury is not yet known. Although he was already a long shot to make the Cubs' deep roster, this certainly doesn't help Weeks. The team hasn't released anything on the injury, but more should be known after the game.
