Cubs' Zac Rosscup: Feels good in return
Rosscup said he felt good after an inning of work Sunday, his first appearance since undergoing shoulder surgery in May, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis:
Rosscup underwent a debridement procedure in his pitching shoulder that shut him down from May through the end of the season. "It felt great," Rosscup said of his return. "I was a little amped up, but I think that's normal, missing all last year and the long road. But I'm glad I put that behind me and got the first one out of the way this spring." Rosscup will likely begin the year at Triple-A, but as a lefty who's spent parts of three seasons at the MLB level, he could get an early look with the Cubs this year.
