Astros' Brad Peacock: Works two scoreless in Saturday's opener

Peacock allowed two hits and struck out one in two scoreless innings Saturday against the Tigers.

Analysis:

Peacock is a longshot to make the Astros' Opening Day roster, and if he does, it will be as a long reliever. There are two clear paths to that roster spot: Either Mike Fiers beats out Joe Musgrove for the final rotation spot, or another starter succumbs to injury. If the Astros want him to return to Triple-A Fresno, Peacock will need to clear waivers because he's out of minor-league options.
