Reds' Bronson Arroyo: Misses workout with flu

Arroyo missed Friday's workout due to flu-like symptoms, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Analysis:

Arroyo, who also turned 40 on Friday, is competing for a spot in the Cincinnati rotation after signing a minor league contract this offseason. The veteran right-hander played eight seasons with the Reds from 2006 to 2013, but missed the entirety of last season with a shoulder injury. Expect him back on the mound soon.
