Yankees' Ronald Torreyes: Expected to work in outfield during spring

Torreyes will likely see some time in the outfield this spring, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Torreyes was primarily a reserve utility infielder for the Bronx Bombers last season, although he did log a pair of appearances in right field. It seems that the Yankees are attempting to turn him into a super utility player, which should help him maintain his spot on the major league roster even with New York's prospects knocking on the door to the majors. However, the 24-year-old is still blocked by more talented players at every position on the depth chart, so his fantasy impact will likely still be minimal even with the potential for added positional eligibility.
