When Alex Rodriguez showed up to spring camp as an instructor for the New York Yankees on Tuesday, the 41-year-old put a burning question to rest when he confirmed he's retired and has no urge to play again.

Rodriguez was released by the Yankees this past August after 12 seasons with the franchise, which included a World Series title in 2009, two MVPs, and a career OPS of .900.

Over the course of a much-publicized 22-year career, Rodriguez smacked 696 home runs, drove in 2,086 runs, posted a slash line of .295/.380/.550, and admitted to using steroids from 2001-03.

Rodriguez could become eligible for baseball's Hall of Fame once he's spent five full seasons in retirement, which begs the question: is A-Rod a worthy candidate to enter Cooperstown?
