Orioles' Zach Britton: Dealing with oblique issue

Britton won't pitch in Wednesday's intrasquad game as he's dealing with an oblique injury, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

The Orioles said that they're primarily being cautious with their prized closer, so it doesn't appear that the injury is a serious matter. However, owners will want to monitor his status, as Britton used the 2016 season to establish himself as one of the league's elite closers by converting all 47 of his save opportunities and posting a 0.54 ERA and 0.84 WHIP.
