Cardinals' Kevin Siegrist: Plans to pitch off mound Wednesday

Siegrist (shoulder) played catch each day over the weekend and hopes to return to the mound Wednesday, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

The left-hander skipped some of his scheduled pitching sessions last week due to shoulder tightness, but it seems like the pain is beginning to subside. As long as everything goes as planned in his recovery, Siegrist will likely get back on track to pitch without inhibitions and act as the Cardinals' setup man for the 2017 campaign.
