Red Sox's Blake Swihart: Struggling to throw ball back to pitchers

Swihart appeared to have issues throwing the ball back to the pitcher during bullpen sessions Friday, CSN New England reports.

Analysis:

Swihart was shown on video making alarmingly inaccurate throws when returning the ball back to the pitcher. While this could turn into a legitimate problem if it persists, the 24-year-old catcher said he is not worried about being able to rectify the issue sooner rather than later. However, if it turns out Swihart actually has the yips, a la Jon Lester's inability to throw to first base, it could significantly affect his chances to make Boston's major league roster.
