Blue Jays' Jose Bautista: Refutes notion that he's "injury-prone"

Bautista arrived to camp Friday feeling healthy, and rejected the idea that he's injury prone, Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Last season, Bautista injured his left big toe crashing into the outfield wall in June, and landed on the disabled list again after twisting his left knee on the Rogers Centre turf in August. The veteran slugger fell victim to freak plays more so than a physical breakdown. "I was trying to make baseball plays both times," he said. "Any day in July, I could have run down the line to first, tripped over myself and gotten hurt worse." Bautista will get an early opportunity to showcase his health when he participates for his native Dominican Republic in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
