The Army-Navy matchup could have a new home if one of two MLB teams gets its way.

The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees have both formally submitted bids to host the annual game, Navy athletic director Chet Gladchuk told Bill Wagner of The Baltimore Sun.

The Army-Navy game's current contract ends following the 2017 edition in Philadelphia. Gladchuk says it is still too early to speculate which location will be chosen.

Gladchuk said he and Army athletic director Eugene "Boo" Corrigan will visit the locations of all bidders to determine the best fit for the historic rivalry matchup.

Out of 118 Army-Navy football games, 86 have been played in Philadelphia. Baltimore, Washington, and East Rutherford, N.J., have been among the other cities to host the rivalry.
