Daniel Descalso is headed to the desert.
The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Tuesday the signing of the infielder to a one-year deal. The deal is worth a guaranteed $1.35 million, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports.
Descalso played the last two seasons with the Colorado Rockies, appearing in 200 games while slashing .239/.322/.382 with 13 home runs.
To make room for him on the roster, Arizona designated infielder Phil Gosselin for assignment.
