Bautista celebrates new contract with Instagram post

As fans relish the thought of Jose Bautista playing another season in Toronto, the 36-year-old seems equally excited about his return north of the border.

Bautista posted on social media for the first time since signing a one-year, $18-million deal with the Blue Jays, sharing a photo on Instagram of him and teammate Troy Tulowitzki with the caption "That feelin' when you know you're coming back."

The veteran slugger's return to the Blue Jays dramatically improves the team heading into next season as he will rejoin a lineup that will be without Edwin Encarnacion. It will mark Bautista's 10th season as a member of the Blue Jays, and there is little doubt fans will be excited when the longtime outfielder makes his first plate appearance of 2017.
