There was really no other option.

Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, who was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Wednesday by 76 percent of voters - just barely securing the 75 percent needed for entry - will be sporting a Texas Rangers cap on his plaque in baseball's immortal club, according to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Rodriguez played 21 seasons in MLB from 1991 to 2011, though he spent 13 of those years with the Rangers, including his big-league debut. He also played five years with the Detroit Tigers, two with the Washington Nationals, and one each with the New York Yankees, Houston Astros, and Florida Marlins.
