White Sox pitching prospect hits 110 mph on radar gun

Michael Kopech has some serious heat.
The Chicago White Sox pitching prospect underwent his first max-velocity workout of the year Tuesday and absolutely lit up the scanner, posting a 110-mph throw.
It wasn't a fluke, either:
Of course, max-velocity workouts aren't anything like pitching off the mound, so don't expect him to flash that kind of speed during a real game.
Kopech was acquired by the White Sox in December in the blockbuster trade with the Boston Red Sox for Chris Sale. He's currently rated the 30th overall prospect in MLB, according to MLBPipeline.com.
