Stroman 'couldn't be happier' about Bautista's reported return to Toronto
Jose Bautista appears on the verge of returning to the Toronto Blue Jays and one member of the club's rotation couldn't be more excited.
It was reported late Sunday night that Bautista and the Blue Jays were nearing a new deal, and upon receiving the news, Marcus Stroman tweeted out a tribute to the slugger.
Stroman wasn't the only Blue Jay hoping Joey Bats would be returning to the club. Upon the news breaking, outfielder Kevin Pillar was eager to find out if there were any truth to the reports.
Bautista is reportedly currently in the Dominican Republic, but his re-signing with the Blue Jays appears to be a certainty, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. The two sides are said to be discussing a two-year deal in the $35-million to $40-million range.
