Report: Brewers, Decker agree to minor-league deal

The Milwaukee Brewers have signed first baseman-turned-catcher Cody Decker to a minor-league deal according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com.

Decker used Twitter to announce he had signed a new deal with an unspecified club, and also revealed the decision to convert from a first baseman to a catcher. The 29-year-old also has former ties with Brewers bench coach Pat Murphy, who worked with Decker in the San Diego Padres organization.

P,laying for three minor-league teams last season, Decker combined to hit .230/.284/.484 with 19 home runs and 46 RBIs.
