Cubs, Red Sox among favorites to win 2017 WS
The Chicago Cubs may have lost closer Aroldis Chapman and starting center fielder Dexter Fowler to free agency, but they're still in fantastic shape to repeat as World Series champions next season after acquiring Wade Davis, Koji Uehara, and Jon Jay to replace the players they lost.
Chicago is listed as 3/1 favorites to win the World Series, according to a press release from Westgate Las Vegas, which released its latest odds on Monday.
After bolstering their starting rotation by acquiring left-hander Chris Sale from the Chicago White Sox at the beginning of December, the Boston Red Sox are expected to win the American League championship, and are 5/1 favorites to win it all, according to Westgate.
