The St. Louis Cardinals officially signed outfielder Dexter Fowler to a five-year, $82.5-million contract Friday, and although the division-rival Chicago Cubs were certainly not happy to lose their leadoff hitter, they weren't showing any displeasure on social media.

Chicago's Twitter account made a classy post remembering Fowler after he completed his introductory press conference with his new club.

The "You go, we go" phrase became popular in the Windy City when manager Joe Maddon revealed he told Fowler that before each at-bat last season.

It soon made it onto a T-shirt worn by many of the Wrigley Field faithful.

Fowler, 30, hit leadoff in all but five plate appearances for the Cubs last season, posting a .393 on-base percentage and .840 OPS.
