The Washington Nationals made a bold move Wednesday, acquiring outfielder Adam Eaton from the Chicago White Sox for a package of players, including top prospect Lucas Giolito, and it appears they're not done chatting with the White Sox just yet.

Washington is discussing a trade for closer David Robertson with Chicago, according to Mark Zuckerman of MASN, who also confirmed a report that the Nationals have looked into Alex Colome of the Tampa Bay Rays as well.

After missing out on Aroldis Chapman and Mark Melancon, the Nationals are still in the hunt for a closer and have been linked to Kenley Jansen, but with him already receiving a reported offer exceeding the five-year, $80-million range from the Miami Marlins, he may be too expensive for the Nationals' tastes.

It's apparent the White Sox are cleaning house after dealing Eaton and ace left-hander Chris Sale, so trading Robertson and the $25 million remaining on his contract over the next two seasons is a likely scenario.

The 31-year-old saved 37 games for the White Sox last season, while posting a 3.47 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 62 1/3 innings of work. His strikeout rates remain high as well, as he averaged 10.8 per nine in 2016, and has averaged 11.9 per nine over his nine-year career.
