The Colorado Rockies shocked the baseball world Wednesday morning after agreeing to a five-year deal with Ian Desmond, and general manager Jeff Bridich might not be done yet.

Free-agent slugger Mark Trumbo is still receiving interest from the Rockies, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.

Desmond is currently penciled in as the Rockies' first baseman in 2017, but adding Trumbo would drastically change that. Should the Rockies agree to a deal with Trumbo, they could use him at first base, move Desmond to center field, and then trade one of a number of outfielders on their roster, which includes Charlie Blackmon, Gerardo Parra, and Carlos Gonzalez.

Blackmon has received interest from a number of clubs, including the Toronto Blue Jays, and could bring a nice return - especially after the White Sox landed three top prospects from the Nationals for Adam Eaton earlier Wednesday.

The addition of Trumbo, meanwhile, would add another power bat to an already strong lineup. The 30-year-old hit .256/.316/.533 with 47 home runs, 27 doubles, and 170 strikeouts in 159 games last season in Baltimore. He's had overwhelming success during a small sample size at Coors Field, hitting .333/.423/.911 with eight home runs in 12 games.

It's believed Trumbo is seeking an $80-million deal.
