Angels' Cam Bedrosian: Will compete for closer role

Bedrosian (arm) is expected to compete with Huston Street and Andrew Bailey for the closer job in spring training, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Bedrosian underwent season-ending surgery in early September to address a blood clot in his throwing arm but should be a full go for the start of camp. Street has the experience and a $9 million contract for 2017, but Bedrosian has dominant stuff, as evidenced by his 1.12 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 51:14 K:BB in 40.1 innings last season. He figures to be a popular speculative target in early drafts and auctions.
