Report: 4-5 teams showing interest in Dozier

Brian Dozier's career year appears to have turned him into a major trade chip for the Minnesota Twins.

The second baseman reportedly has four or five teams expressing interest in him, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been linked to Dozier in recent weeks, with it being reported earlier Sunday that their aggressiveness has "piqued" the interest of the Twins' front office. However, Minnesota's asking price is believed to be high.

Dozier would serve as a strong addition to a number of teams in search of help at second base. Though Heyman doesn't provide the list of other teams interested, the Diamondbacks, Braves, Angels, Royals, and Blue Jays (depending on the health of Devon Travis) could all seek an upgrade.

The 29-year-old Dozier exploded in the second half of last season, finishing with 42 home runs, 35 doubles, 99 RBIs and 18 stolen bases while hitting .268/.340/.546. He's owed a very team-friendly $17 million over the remaining two years of his deal.
