Stroman announces he will pitch for Team USA at WBC

Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman will represent Team USA at the upcoming World Baseball Classic, announcing his decision via Twitter on Saturday.

Stroman recently told reporters at David Ortiz's charity golf event in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic that he intended on pitching in the WBC and would decide between Team USA and Puerto Rico, where his mother was born and raised.
The 25-year-old will join a starting rotation consisting of Chris Archer and Max Scherzer on a roster that also boasts position players such as Nolan Arenado, Adam Jones, and George Springer.
