The New York Mets will hold a press conference Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET to officially announce the re-signing of slugger Yoenis Cespedes, according to multiple reports.

On Tuesday, the club announced Cespedes' deal, for a reported four years and $110 million deal, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. His deal includes a full no-trade clause.

"Yoenis is a dynamic player who can beat you in many ways," Mets manager Terry Collins said, according to Newsday's Marc Carig. "It's a great holiday present for the Mets to know he'll be in the middle of our lineup.

"He makes everyone around him better"

Cespedes' contract will pay him $22.5 million next season, $29 million in 2018 and 2019 and $29.5 million in 2020.

The Cuban slugger needed to have a big 2016 season in order to solidify his offseason stance, and he did just that, slashing .280/.354/.530 with 31 homers and 86 RBIs in 132 games.
