Rays' Daniel Robertson: Added to 40-man roster

Robertson was added to the Rays' 40-man roster Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

His prospect stock has taken a hit in recent years as he's totaled just five homers over the past two seasons, but Robertson continued to get on base at a good clip in 2016 thanks to an 11.4 percent walk rate. He saw more time at second base and third in 2016 with 20-plus appearances at each position.
