Royals' Drew Butera: Signs two-year deal with Royals

Butera signed a two-year contract with the Royals on Friday, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.

Analysis:

He played sparingly behind Salvador Perez last season but Butera fared well when given an opportunity, as he hit .285/.328/.480 in 133 plate appearances. It was his first season with an OPS above .550. Butera is probably in line for a similar workload in 2017.
