Trout wins 2nd AL MVP in 3 years
For the second time in three seasons, Mike Trout is golden.
The Los Angeles Angels center fielder took home the 2016 American League MVP award Thursday, beating out Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve and Boston Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts.
When the dust settled, Trout finished with 356 points, leading the way by a landslide 19 first-place votes. Betts finished second with 311 points and nine first-place votes, while Altuve rounded out the top three with 227 points.
