Braves' Bartolo Colon: Inks deal with Braves
Colon signed a one-year, $12.5 million contract with the Braves on Friday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Colon had a surprisingly good year in his age-43 season, as he proceeded to post a 3.43 ERA and 4.0 K/BB despite rarely hitting 90 miles per hour with his fastball. He reportedly was interested in making a return with the Mets, but instead he'll become a veteran presence in a young Braves pitching staff. The ageless wonder seems to be in line to slot into the middle of Atlanta's rotation.
