'Guaranteed Rate Field' sign unveiled at White Sox stadium

It looks worse than it sounds.

The Chicago White Sox will open the 2017 season at Guaranteed Rate Field, and while the idea of an MLB park being named after a downward-trending arrow seemed odd at first, the visual is terrifying.

On Tuesday, Guaranteed Rate unveiled its first sign at the stadium, and it looks as weird as you'd expect.

The White Sox sold the rights to U.S. Cellular Field at the end of August, and its relationship with Guaranteed Rate got off to a rocky start.

The team requested to replace the logo's downward-pointing red arrow with an image of home plate, according to Danny Ecker of Chicago Business, which the company denied.
