Terry Francona is perfect no more.

After a 9-0 start to his World Series career, the Cleveland Indians manager was handed his first Fall Classic loss when Cleveland dropped a 5-1 decision to the Chicago Cubs in Game 2.

Both of Francona's Boston Red Sox teams who won titles in 2004 and 2007 did so via dominating sweeps. Cleveland then jumped out front on Tuesday with a 6-0 thrashing of the Cubs in Game 1.

Coming into Wednesday's game, Francona was one of five managers to have a perfect record in the World Series. There are four remaining skippers who have never lost a game in the final round, according to CSN Chicago's Christopher Kamka. All four of those managers only reached one World Series during their careers.

Manager Yrs. as Manager WS Record (Team) Playoff Record (All Rounds)
George Stallings 13 4-0 (1914 Braves 4-0
Hank Bauer 9 4-0 (1966 Orioles) 4-0
Lou Piniella 23 4-0 (1990 Reds) 23-27
Ozzie Guillen 9 4-0 (2005 White Sox) 12-4

Francona's career record in October dropped to 36-19 with the loss. He remains seventh all time in postseason wins.
