Can't find a better man than Eddie Vedder to celebrate your team's first pennant in 71 years with.

After watching his beloved Chicago Cubs clinch their first pennant since 1945 on Saturday, Vedder, Pearl Jam's legendary frontman, not only joined in the postgame revelry at Wrigley Field, but also tagged along to an epic rager at Jon Lester's house, where the the 51-year-old baritone was the life of the party.

From atop Lester's garage, Vedder - who watched a bit of the decisive Game 6 of the National League Championship Series with John Cusack before migrating up to Theo Epstein's box - gave the boys an impromptu concert, whipping through "Better Man" - Pearl Jam's poppiest offering, to date - and covering Neil Young's "Helpless" while Lester and David Ross strummed along.

"One of the greatest rock stars of all time is over hanging out with us, playing songs and singing along," Jake Arrieta told Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. "Memories you can't forget. Things I'm gonna tell my friends and family and kids and grandkids until I can't tell 'em anymore. To do it with a group of guys like this - we're family. This is a bond we'll have for the rest of our lives."

If Vedder did, in fact, play some deep cuts, as well, Justin Grimm can't remember 'em.

"He played a lot of good songs," Grimm said. "I'm not sure I remember too much of it, but that's OK. That's OK. I saw the sun rise the next day."

For Lester, who spent parts of nine years with the Red Sox before signing a six-year, $155-million deal with Chicago in 2015, Vedder's willingness to join in the fun is something he didn't see back in Boston.

"In Boston, nobody really hung out," Lester said. "They'd just come to the game and leave. But he's a huge Cubs fan. He'd rather hang out with us than go play and be a rock star."

It's not clear if Vedder was still around, though, to play "Yellow Ledbetter" when Lester's house cleared out around 5:30 a.m.
