Elderly Cubs fan ready to celebrate with Jager shot

FOX Sports MLB / Twitter

If you've been through as much as Dorothy Farrell has in her life - and that's not even counting her wait for a Cubs pennant - you'd be knocking a few drinks back tonight too.

Farrell has been a season-ticket holder at Wrigley Field in the first row behind the dugout since 1984 - the year her team choked away a 2-0 NLCS lead - and was all smiles when the Cubs clinched their first pennant since 1945 on Saturday night. Even when another overzealous fan jumped into her, she wasn't ruffled and accepted a quick apology/congratulations hug.

"I just love my Cubbies," Farrell exclaimed to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal during the postgame show, before adding that she wished her father and brothers who died years ago and were also Cubs fans could share in the historic moment with her.

Expect Farrell to be in her seat when the Cubs face Cleveland in Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field next week. Until then, this Cubs fan has some big celebration plans in mind.

"I'll probably have a Jagermeister," she laughed.

Party on, Dorothy.
