Watch: Ump Hernandez to Rizzo after apology, 'You’re good, bro'

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo and homeplate umpire Angel Hernandez shared some on-field love in Wednesday's Game 4 of the NLCS.

After Rizzo disagreed with a third strike call in the fifth inning, when he returned to the plate in the seventh, he offered up an apology to Hernandez, who acknowledged the sentiment with open arms.

"Your fault for what brother? Come on, you’re good, bro. You’re awesome with us. No, no worries. You’re competing. I understand. Don’t worry. You know what’s best of it? You come back and tell me that. That’s how good of a guy you are."

Rizzo, entered Wednesday in a 1-11 slump, hit his first home run of the postseason and knocked in three runs in the Cubs' 10-2 win, evening the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers at two.
