Watch: Cubs break scoring drought with 4-run inning

That's one postseason drought taken care of.

After going Games 2 and 3 of the NLCS without scoring a single run against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago Cubs finally brought a runner home in the fourth inning of Game 4 thanks to catcher Willson Contreras.

On an 0-2 count, the Cubs backstop sent a sharply hit single to left fielder Andrew Toles who had a legitimate chance at nabbing Ben Zobrist running home. Toles, however, completely missed his mark with the throw, allowing Zobrist to score safely.

Chicago's quiet bats then seemed to suddenly awake all at once, as Jason Heyward followed up Contreras with an RBI groundout before Addison Russell launched a two-run home run to right-center field to lift the Cubs up 4-0 over the Dodgers in the fourth.

Contrera's RBI was the Cubs' first run since Miguel Montero's pinch-hit grand slam in the eighth inning of Game 1, ending a 21-inning scoreless stretch.
