Watch: Donaldson impresses with glove, bat in Game 4
Josh Donaldson came through for the Toronto Blue Jays when it mattered most on Tuesday, as his club faced elimination in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series.
The 2015 AL MVP not only gave the Blue Jays their first lead of the series with a home run off Indians ace Corey Kluber in the eventual 5-1 victory, but he also made an incredible diving stop two innings later to rob Carlos Santana of a potential RBI single, keeping his team in the lead.
The 30-year-old slugger told his teammates before the game he was going to have quite the day at the plate. "I let the boys know I was coming to play today," he mentioned to reporters in a postgame press conference.
Donaldson's impressive play, combined with a stellar outing from starter Aaron Sanchez, allowed the Blue Jays to force a Game 5 in Toronto on Wednesday.
