Watch: Fowler lays out for belt-busting diving catch

MLB.com

Dexter Fowler made a catch that busted his belt, and will blow your mind.

In the top of the fourth inning Saturday with the Chicago Cubs leading 3-0, Fowler made a terrific diving catch that covered 67 feet, with a near-perfect 95.6 route efficiency. The ball was measured to have a four-second hang time and similar balls are caught only 43 percent of the time, according to Darren Willman of MLB.com.

The catch was Fowler's second defensive gem of the game, as he laid out in the third inning to preserve the lead for starter Jon Lester.
